The BLF Scholarship program provides financial support to students pursuing a high education who understand, appreciate, and exemplify Bruce Lee’s passion for education, self-actualization, and honest self-expression.

ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION LEGACY AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS
Legacy Awards are $4,000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of Elks members. The Foundation will offer a total of 250 awards in the 2018 contest. FAFSA – FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID
You cannot apply for the FAFSA until after January 1, 2018. The fastest and most efficient method is to apply online. Filing a paper FAFSA can take months to get results, but filing online takes only days to get results. The college financial aid offices tell me that applying online is the fastest and preferred method. The website to apply online is www.fafsa.ed.gov . If you plan to apply online (and you should if you have internet access), you will need to obtain a PIN number. You can go ahead and obtain a PIN number NOW. You should go to www.pin.ed.gov and follow the instructions for obtaining a PIN number.
GATES MILLENNIUM SCHOLARS
Students can be nominated for these awards if they are African-American, American Indian, Asian Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic American; have a cumulative 3.3 GPA; demonstrate significant financial need (i.e. meets federal Pell Grant eligibility), and demonstrated leadership. Students who have a composite ACT score of 29 or above and a GPA of 3.6 are eligible to attend. The Foundation of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences will award one $40,000 college scholarship and nine $1,000 scholarships to high school students planning to pursue a career in television or a related field. NAVAL R.O.T.C. SCHOLARSHIPS
Navy ROTC scholarships can cover full tuition, fees and books. Minimum test scores must be 22 for both ACT math and English or SAT scores of 530 verbal and 520 math. The NCAA Clearinghouse is for prospects for athletic competition at NCAA colleges in Division I and II. If you have taken the recommended college prep courses, you will have met the NCAA core course requirements. The ACT scores used for the NCAA must be from a national test date. The Clearinghouse's purpose is to insure the academic eligibility of prospective college athletes. Students can register online at www.eligibilitycenter.org . There may be a fee to apply.
NORTHERN EXPOSURE AT N.O.C.
Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa will be hosting high school seniors and their parents on a Saturday in January or February. Northeastern in Tahlequah will be hosting a recruitment event on Saturday, November 5, 2016.. Students can tour the campus and housing facilities, receive info about academics, scholarships and financial aid, and visit with student leaders on campus. Short People Scholarships, offered by the Little People of America, is one of the weird unknown scholarships for college. Applicants must be 4 feet 10 inches or under to qualify as a member and apply for a short people scholarship. A short essay is required, and three letters of recommendation. It’s only fair that if there are short people scholarships, there should also be tall people scholarships. This is a non-renewable $1,000 award for the student’s first year of undergraduate study at an accredited college or university.
