    Dear families,

West Middle School is working to enroll your child in classes for their seventh grade year.  The only electives that students are able to choose are from our music selections.  Students can take orchestra, and if they were in orchestra last year their teacher has already recommended them for orchestra. If they would like to enroll for orchestra, this year and were not in that class last year they may. It is ok at this time if they are not completely sure what instrument, but on the form you will need to select one area. Students can also take chorus which is a class where students learn and perform a variety of musical selections.  Students can also take band class, and if they were in band last year their teacher has already recommended them for band.  If choosing a band class for the first time, then we also need to have an idea of what instrument they might want to play. It is ok at this time if they are not completely sure what instrument, but on the form you will need to select one area.  In the future, music directors will host a time where students can come in and try out different instruments.

Please note:  Seventh grade students that are enrolling in band and orchestra for the very first time will be placed in a sixth grade section for first semester next year.

Students may enroll in up to 2 music courses, if they so choose.  Completed enrollment may be dependent on enrollment in other core courses.

In order to enroll in music classes for the 2020-21 school year at West Middle School you will need to complete the form by clicking on the link below.  The form must be completed by April 27.
